Connecting Myanmar journalism workshop in Mae Sot came to an end last Thursday. In the past nine weeks, around 15 Burmese migrant students attended the workshop to learn about principles of journalism, news reporting and writing, and photojournalism. Three journalism students from HKU and CUHK and the editor-in-chief of The Young Generations’ Note Journal and Media Training Centre instructed the workshop together.
Connecting Myanmar would like to give special thanks to the camera donors from Hong Kong and Taiwan who made the photojournalistic parts of the workshop activities possible. The course instructors are also grateful for the journalism training given by Journalism and Media Studies Centre (HKU) and CUHK School of Journalism and Communication that enabled them to transfer the knowledge and skills to the migrant students.
